Suspect arrested for kidnapping

Zachary police arrested a man Friday, March 12 for kidnapping in connection to the murder of Kevin W. “Johnny K” Moore.

Police believe Terry Jerome “HoneyBoo” Wilson, 39, of 5407 Hwy. 19, Zachary is responsible for the kidnapping of Moore and booked him into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, according to Zachary Police Capt. David McDavid.

Parish workers discovered Moore’s body along a desolate area of McHugh road on Monday, March 8 around 7:15 a.m. Police ruled his death as a homicide and the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s reported Moore died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Zachary Police Chief John Herty described the killing as “execution style”.

McDavid said the investigation is ongoing and the department continues to pursue leads in the shooting death.
