Coach April Brown and her Lady Broncos had a great week in prep basketball as Zachary picked up two big wins. First last week Zachary came up with a big 52-48 win over the Central Lady Wildcats.

The Zachary capped off the week with another big win as they beat the Scotlandville Lady Hornets 45-31. Zachary opened the week with a big win over Central. The Lady Broncos were looking to improve their status for post season play with a win over the Lady Wildcats.

Zachary led 15-11 at the end of the first quarter and then closed the first half with an 11-9 run to lead 26-19 at the break. Khloe Mims led all scorers with 18 points while T. Mims added 15. Central would outscore the Lady Broncos 29-26 in the second half but it would not be enough as Zachary went on to win the game 52-48.

Kasiney Williams had eight points and Brianna Cotton chipped in four with Jasmine Mitchell finished the game with three points while D’Nez Bob had two points. Zachary upped their record to 20-10 overall and 7-4 in district 5-5A play.

Then the Lady Broncos finished the regular season with a big 45-31 win over the Scotlandville Lady Hornets. Zachary closed the game with a monster run as they finished the game by going on an 18-3 run over the Lady Hornets.

T. Sims had another big night as she led the game with 20 points to lead Zachary to their 21st win of the season. Khloe Mims added 11 points as well did Kasiney Williams. Brianna Cotton finished the game with three points for the Lady Broncos.

Zachary improved their overall record to 21-10 and they finished the season with an 8-4 mark in district 5-5A play. Zachary was waiting to see whom they would play in the Class 5A playoffs as the brackets were released after press time.
