Frank Ragsdale, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, was named Lane Regional Medical Center’s Employee of the Year for 2008. He received the award at the annual Employee of the Year Luncheon held at the Carriage House Restaurant located at the Myrtles in St. Francisville.

Ragsdale has worked at Lane for 17 years and was recognized for his outstanding work and dedication to his patients and the hospital. “Frank is a very compassionate person and takes very good care of his patients,” said Julie Austin, director of Surgery. “Frank will be retiring this year and will definitely be missed,” added Gerry Pedersen, director of Anesthesia.

“I’m speechless!” said Ragsdale, who received a plaque and $500. “Lane is like family, and I am truly honored to receive such a special award.”

Ragsdale is a resident of Zachary. He and his wife Janice have two daughters, Heather and Tara.

Also recognized at the luncheon were the Employees of the Month for 2008: Terrel Williams, Tosha Henagan, Melissa Aitken, Jason Landry, Verla Jackson, Matt Roy, Julie Metz, Marti Puckett, Kelly Fowler, Wally Simon and Lori Grace.
