The Ville Platte Junior High School library hosted eighth grade students participating in the Louisiana Young Readers Choice Awards program. Students had to read at least three of the state’s chosen books in order to vote. Voting machines were provided by the secretary of state outreach division free of charge to all schools participating in the program.
