The home of Jimmy and Jeanie Fontenot provided the setting for a lovely 6 p.m. ceremony September 20, 2008, uniting Miss Natasha Nicholle Lomeli and Mr. James Frank Fontenot in holy matrimony with Brother Charles Luke officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Carline Vannatta of Vidrine. The groom’s parents are Jimmy Fontenot of Ville Platte and Angela Viga of Alexandria.

The location was beautifully decorated with a heart-shaped trellis accented with pink and white roses and greenery. A heart-covered runner was lined with rose-covered pedestals on both sides. A heart-shaped cage held two doves for the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was radiant in her white, strapless beaded gown. She wore a small and elegant rose headpiece with a flowing veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of fresh pink and white roses tied with a pink ribbon.

The bride’s mother served as matron of honor for the special occasion. She wore a light pink, strapless gown accented with a chiffon wrap. She wore a pearl necklace, earring and bracelet set, a gift from the bride, and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses.

Bridesmaids were Brittany Vannatta, Julie Fontenot and Marybeth Guillory, all of Vidrine, and Breanna Burke of Alexandria. They were attired identically to the matron of honor.

Dustin Hebert of Ville Platte served as best man for the evening ceremony.

Groomsmen were Jacob Delafosse and Shane Briley, both of Ville Platte, Jonathan Clevinger of Pennsylvania and Logan Burke of Alexandria.

The couple’s children, Laia Elizabeth Renee and Trevor James Fontenot, served as flower girl and ring bearer. Landon Darbonne was the bell ringer.

A reception followed at the Northside Civic Center. The bride’s family hand-made all of the decorations and the tables were covered with heart-themed skirts and held two candles as part of the “two hearts, one love” center pieces. The front table was decorated with a poster of pictures of friends and family as part of a “in our hearts but not forgotten” tribute. The front table also held the guest book.

Following a wedding trip to Barbados, the couple has made their home in Ville Platte.
