As we look at the life of Joseph in the Book of Genesis, we see his dream, his vision, was temporarily put on hold as he was cast into a pit by his brothers then sold into bondage and later put into prison. But through everyting Joseph encountered, the Lord was with him.

Regardless of where we are or the circumstances we may find ourselves in, know the Lord is with you. There is a promise of His presence, but all of us, at times, feel like we are alone. We need to let the word of God press in upon us. “The Lord is with us.”

Joseph kept hope alive in his heart, though the vision had seemed to vanish. He trusted God to fulfill his plan, even though it appeared he was not in God’s plan, and ruled in the midst of the circumstances. Like Joseph, we must refuse to be dominated by circumstances. He committed himself to where he was at the moment, being faithful to the gifts God had placed in his hands. We must do likewise. The Bible tells us in Matthew 25:23 that if we are faithful over a few things, God will make us ruler over many things.

God will be faithful to nourish and nurture and fulfill the vision He gives us. He says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God is speaking to people who have failed occasionally in life, and the Lord is saying He doesn’t want us to be confused about what He thinks about us. God’s disposition to you today is one of peace to give you a future and a hope. If we hold on to what God has placed in our hearts, the vision will be fulfilled.
