After a second place finish in their first tournament, the Legendz competed in the Marucci Elite AA challenge hosted in Zachary recently. Fourteen teams battled it out and the Legendz made it to their second championship game but came up just short, losing 4-7 to the Ascension Diamondbacks.
The Legendz then competed in the Louisiana Slugfest in Gonzales against 10 other teams. Once again they made it to the championship round, and this time, they were victorious over the LA Thunder from West Monroe 4-2.
The early season success had the team rated as the No.1 power-ranked AA team in the state until recently, when they were promoted to AAA.
