HOISINGTON, Kan. — The Associated Press is reporting the deaths of two Zachary men and a third from Kansas over the weekend.

The three men were killed in a crash in Barton County in central Kansas on Friday, March 16.

Ronald Firmin, 23, of Zachary, was headed southbound on U.S. 281 when he failed to stop at an intersection about three miles west of Hoisington, according to authorities.

Barton County Sheriff Greg Armstrong said Firmin drove into the left side of a large truck that was headed eastbound on Kansas 4. Both vehicles went off the side of the highway and came to rest in a ditch.

Firmin was killed along with his passengers - Jeremy LeJeune, 29, also of Zachary, and Zulet Rodrigues-Harp, 38, of Great Bend, Kan.

The truck’s driver was injured but refused treatment by emergency personnel.
