During Louisiana Literacy Week, Feb. 12 - 18, the Zachary High School Bronco baseball team and Head Coach Jesse Cassard visited the Zachary schools of Copper Mill, Zachary Elementary, Northwestern Elementary and the Zachary Early Learning Center.

Members of the high school baseball team volunteered to read to students in the Zachary Community School District.

"We read to over 500 kids in one hour!" said Jesse Casard. "I would like to thank the principals and teachers who allowed our players to spend time in their classrooms and schools."

Each Bronco baseball player has completed over 20 hours of community service in the past year. Cassard says it's required of the players in the ZHS baseball program.
