The Zachary Community School Board recognized the Zachary High School girls and boys soccer teams at its Thursday, Feb. 9 meeting.

Both teams each recently won their Division I, 4-5A District Championship titles.

The ZHS Lady Bronco soccer team, coached by Paul Owen, head coach, and Keavin Tanner, assistant coach, made it to the first round of the state playoffs but lost to Shreveport's Caddo Magnet High School on Feb. 3.

The Bronco soccer team, coached by Scott Delholm, head coach, and Kyle Callihan, assistant coach, made it to the second round of the playoffs but lost to second-seeded St. Paul's on Feb. 8.

Each player on the ZHS boys and girls soccer teams, in addition to their coaches, were individually honored at the Zachary Community School Board meeting by receiving certificates in their names.

The ZHS Lady Bronco soccer team is Taylor Arceneaux, Rachel Babin, Kiera Baker, Brittany Castello, Jami Conerly, Katy Cop, Lauren Dufour, Bryanna Fields, Sarah Grimball, Yara Hantash, Kaylan Hebert, Kelcie Hinton, Katelynn Hunt, Monica Mackay, Moriah Meeks, Carly Miller, Kelsey Olson, Rachel Pecora, Madeline Pipkin, Amber Randall, Janeisia "JJ" Rogers, Megan Thierry and Hope Yantis. Student manager is Jaela Peterson, and statistician is Shelley Brown.

The ZHS Bronco soccer team is Austin Armstrong, Stuart Baird, Jude Brian, Brent Callihan, Anthony "TJ" Campbell, Randy Crosby, Burke Daigle, Cameron Davidson, Jonathan Davis, Brandon Delhom, Martin Fontenot, Grayson Gale, Jacob Garrett, Spencer Garrison, Daryl Jones, Durrell Joseph, Chandler Kelley, Nathan Lowery, Thomas McHugh, Felipe Membreno, Ikenna Nzewi, Alex Qaddourah, Boston Scott, Alex Singleton, Korbin Weidenbacher, Zach Wigger, Brennan Willcutt, Lije Wojohn and Derek Wooden.
