The Zachary Middle School Blaze I Soccer team won the Baton Rouge Soccer Association's League Championship Jan. 29 for the second time in three years. Blaze I played against Dutchtown, Baton Rouge (Sherwood, Woodlawn and St. Aloysius Middle Schools) and Livingston.

The team finished the season without a loss to win the championship and finished runner-up in the end of season tournament Feb. 5 in Baton Rouge at the Burbank Soccer Complex.
