The Louisiana High School Athletics Association has partnered with some incredible companies that work each and every day to promote high school athletics in their own ways.

Acadian Ambulance is a segment of Acadian Companies. Started in 1971, the company has served as an aid during times of crisis in the Lafayette area. The company has been recognized as one of America’s best emergency medical services because of its modern and precise technology, outstanding service, and innovation in the medical field.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organization working to impact the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. Since 1954, FCA has been the largest Christian sports organization in America equipping coaches and athletes at all levels of play to be a light for Christ as they display their athletic abilities.

The Jason Foundation is dedicated to preventing youth suicide. Through a variety of educational and awareness programs, the foundation works to enlighten youth, educators, and parents about the issue of youth suicide and provides them with resources to asses and identify at risk youth.

Fair-Play is responsible for all of the impressive scoreboards and video displays we often see at LHSAA sporting events. They use energy efficient technologies with lower power consumption which reduce energy costs and ultimately making sporting events a little cheaper.

NextSpex works to assist high school student-athletes become highly visible to college coaches and recruiters. The company started in September of 2008 in Alabama and has since grown to include the surrounding areas. The recruiting process can be a daunting and overwhelming time for high school student-athletes looking to play in college. NextSpex works to make the process easier by making the athlete more visible to college coaches and recruiters through tailored profiles that are accessible virtually anywhere through the internet.

Universal Cheerleaders Association was founded by Jeff Webb in 1974 to provide high quality training for high school and college cheerleaders. The association’s goal is to inspire leadership and a standard of excellence on and off the field.

Taylor Hooton Foundation is a non-profit corporation formed in memory of Taylor Hooton, a 17 year old high school athlete from Texas. Taylor took his own life in 2003 as a result of using steroids. His friends and family started the corporation in hopes that they could educate student-athletes about the harms of using steroids as they shared Taylor’s story. Today, the foundation is headquartered in McKinney, Texas and has had a dramatic impact on high school student-athletes around the country.

Gold Star Trophies which is a family owned business partnered with the LHSAA this year and has been in operation since 1973. This company is responsible for many of the fancy trophies high school student-athletes take home after LHSAA events. The company says that “winning is only half the glory,” but a trophy from Gold Star Trophies is the other half!
