Lane’s DAISY Award Honoree for the first half of 2011 is Carol Rhodus, R.N.
Rhodus has been employed at Lane since 2007. She currently works in Labor and Delivery as a shift charge nurse. She is responsible for management of the unit during her shift, including staffing, admissions and discharge, and coordination of activities in the patient care area.
Rhodus graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge. She is a former Lane Employee of the Month and serves as a Preceptor for new nurses. She has also worked on a variety of Evidence Based Practice projects and served on the Practice and Research Council.
Rhodus is a native of Walker where she lives with her husband, KC, and their 4-year-old son, Wyatt.
