Zachary Police Explorer Safety Festival

On Saturday April 23, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Zachary Fire Department, the Zachary Police Explorer cadet program will sponsor a safety festival that includes a jambalaya fundraiser.

Featured events include:

•ZFD smoke trailer

•East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. vehicle

•Child fingerprint identification kits

•Operation Lifesaver Inc. featuring railroad safety items

•FREE space walk for the kids

Also on hand will be representatives from the Concerns of Police Survivor organization and the Louisiana Police K-9 memorial.

A jambalaya fundraiser to benefit the Zachary Explorers and the Chief John Herty Scholarship fund will also be held. Jambalaya plates for $5 can be purchased on site or delivered within the Zachary and EBR metro area.

Throughout the event, there will be plenty of raffles and giveaways for LSU merchandise, gifts, gift cards, free hotel stays and much more! Free drinks will be provided courtesy of Coca-Cola.

This is a FREE event hosted by the Zachary Police Explorers cadet program.

The purpose is to help educate the youth of Zachary on various safety issues and concerns.
