Baker Fire Chief Danny Edwards and Police Chief Mike Knaps recently presented toys to Redemption Life Fellowship Church from the “Rides for Toys” event held earlier this month. The toy drive, sponsored by the Baker fire and police departments, took place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 8 - 10, with rides offered in a Drug Abuse Resistance Education car or firetruck in the Baker Walmart parking lot. The event brought in nearly 200 new and wrapped toys as well as over $300 in donations. BFD spokesman Howard Ward said the cash will be used to purchase more toys. All toys donated will be given to needy children in the Baker community. From left: Sgt.
