Nominate a Baker Citizen of the Year thru March 12

The Baker Inter-Club Council is accepting nominations through 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, for the 2011 Citizen of the Year award.

Nominations may be mailed to P.O. Box 30, Baker, LA 70704-0030 or hand-delivered to 3121 Van Buren St., Suite A, in Baker.

Voting by member clubs will be held in the Baker City Council chambers on March 12.

A nominee must live within the city limits of Baker or an unincorporated area of East Baton Rouge Parish.

The individual also must have provided unselfishly of his or her time and talents to improve the quality of life for Baker residents for which he or she was not paid or performed as part of the nominee’s regular job.
