Prior to joining LWF, Triche was a consultant working with nonprofit organizations in capacity building and project management that focused on energy efficiency, environmental education and volunteer programming. She previously worked as senior coordinator with National Wildlife Federation, program associate with Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation (now Louisiana Foundation), and deputy director with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
According to LWF President Ken Dancak, “Rebecca’s leadership abilities and organizational skills will help LWF expand its programming and outreach on conservation issues. She has a great track record of building partnerships and developing new projects and a strong commitment to LWF’s mission to conserve our natural resources and your right to enjoy them.”
LWF did not have to look far in their search for a new executive director as Triche is a long time member of the East Ascension Sportsman’s League, a current member of the LWF board of directors, a former member of the LWF executive committee and has been chairing LWF’s Conservation Awards Committee for the past two years.
Information about LWF’s upcoming convention can be found at www.lawildlifefed.org.
