BAKER – Baker Police have arrested a woman for allegedly molesting a juvenile boy at group home, said Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps.

Detectives arrested Cynthia Haynes, 43, of 2116 Davenport Avenue, who was wanted on five counts of molestation of a juvenile.

Haynes is accused of making sexual contact with a young boy who she supervised in 2011 while working as a staff member of the Drusilla's Place boys group home, located at 15085 Plank Road in Baker.

Knaps said the matter was reported to Baker Police by the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice when it was discovered that Haynes was behaving inappropriately with the juvenile resident.

In the investigation that followed, detectives learned that Haynes allegedly made sexual contact with the juvenile at least five times throughout the course of several months in 2011.

The boy has been removed from the facility.

Haynes was terminated from her employment at the group home prior to her arrest.
