The Zachary Kiwanis Club meets every Wednesday morning at 7:10 a.m. in the training complex at the Zachary Fire Department. Fire Chief Boyce Smith is the current Kiwanis president. Last Wednesday, May 25, Kiwanian Jesse Spears shared stories with the club members of what Zachary was like many years ago. In observance of Memorial Day, the City of Zachary installed a permanent new 35’ flagpole at City Hall, proudly displaying an American Flag reflecting those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. “God bless our men and women in uniform, and God bless the United States of America," said Mayor Amrhein.
