ZACHARY--Shortly before 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 21, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a two vehicle fatal crash involving a motorcycle that occurred on La. Hwy 19 at Port Hudson-Pride Road in East Baton Rouge Parish. The crash took the life of 54-year-old Alan D. Carlyle of Baker.

Health officials confirm 12 new West Nile Virus infections, 92 cases this year

There were seven new cases of West Nile fever reported last week: Caddo (2), East Baton Rouge (2), Livingston (1), Orleans (1) and St. Tammany (1) and two new asymptomatic cases, one in East Baton Rouge and one in Iberville parishes.
