The 2014 National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Zachary Police Department, 4510 Main St. in Zachary, is the nearest collection site in this nationwide initiative. Radio station WYNK will be on hand during the event!

BATON ROUGE--Louisiana State Police Detectives are asking for assistance from the public in helping to locate an individual responsible for a vehicle burglary and credit card theft which occurred in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Zachary Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Jesse Cassard with Rhyan Rosenbach, who was diagnosed with CF at birth. Rosenbach threw out the first pitch of the game. He is a kindergartener at Northwestern Elementary School and the son of Brian Rosenbach and Kati Simmons.

The Zachary High School Baseball team hosted their annual Cystic Fibrosis game April 17 against Central High School. In lieu of admission charges to the game, donations were collected for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Thanks to generous givers, a total of $907 in donations was collected during the game.
