St. Francisville Police have arrested two individuals and charged each with aggravated rape of a five-year-old boy. The victim was five-years-old at the time of the crime.
St. Francisville Police Assistant Chief Bryan Herrin arrested Anthony Ryan Soileau, 25, and Kendra Lee Soileau, 22, both of St. Francisville, on Friday, Jan. 29, at their residence at 5180 Burnett Road. Anthony Ryan Soileau is the biological father of the alleged victim.
According to the arrest warrant obtained from St. Francisville Police Chief G. Scott Ford, the husband and wife are accused of forcing the victim to place his face on the genitals of Kendra Lee Soileau. The victim was then allegedly forced to disrobe and imitate a sexual act on Kendra Lee Soileau.
According to Ford, the victim began exhibiting behavior which indicated he had been sexually abused. His mother questioned him and upon learning the identity of his abuser, contacted St. Francisville Police Department and Child Advocacy Services.
Christine Roy, Child Services Coordinator, taped an interview with the victim and told Herrin that she believed the child’s statement to be true.
“There was sense of urgency in the situation in that the biological mother and father had joint custody,” said Herrin. “We wanted to make sure the father did not go to the school and pick up the child.”
Herrin stated that he gathered enough data and information to approach the District Attorney’s office and then went to Judge George “Hal” Ware for a probable cause arrest warrant.
Both have been booked into West Feliciana Parish Jail and charged with aggravated rape.
“The penalty for this charge, especially with these circumstances, is life in prison without the possibility of parole,” said Herrin.
As of press time, the pair were still in parish prison and their bond has been set at $375,000 each.
